How to Install a Boost Gauge on an Audi

1. Choose which vent you are going to install the gauge in and remove it by pulling it out. Inspect the vent to see if the gauge will fit into it. You may have to trim the rear flap of the vent to allow the gauge to sit in it.
2. Hold the boost gauge against the vent and draw a circle with a pen or white pencil around it to mark where the cut is going to go.
3. Use a dremel with a small cutting wheel and carefully trim the hole that you have traced. Test fit the gauge to make sure it fits in the trimmed hole very snugly. Smooth any rough edges with sandpaper.
4. Drill a small hole in the ducting that leads to the vent to allow the pressure tube for the gauge to go through. Run the tube through it. This should be included with the gauge.
5. Remove the trim located below the steering wheel and remove it. There are probably three or four 8-mm nuts.
6. Open the hood. At the rear of the engine on the left side of the brake fluid reservoir are two rubber seals. Remove them both, exposing two holes.
7. From under the steering column, route the gauge tube through the holes. Make small holes in the rubber seals for the tube. Run the tube through the seals and then reinstall the seals.
8. Connect the gauge to the intake manifold by cutting the hose that goes to the fuel pressure regulator and installing a T adapter for the gauge hose.
9. Hook up the power wire for the gauge to an existing wiring harness that goes to the factory gauges. Ground the black wire that is on the gauge to a suitable ground in the dash. Reinstall the vent and gauge and test it to make sure it works.

How to Install Rear Wheel Bearings in a Mercedes

1. Park your car on a flat, level surface. Jack your car up and put it securely on jack stands.
2. Remove the wheel and the hub by placing a screwdriver on the edge of the hub. Use a hammer and hit the hub out toward you.
3. Use an Allen wrench to loosen the retaining nut.
4. Remove two bolts that are 21 mm in size. The bolts hold the caliper on the steering knuckle. To remove the bolts use an impact wrench or 18-inch spanner. Make sure you get the right bolts. There are two others that are the same size that hold on the steering mechanism. You want to remove the bolts that hold the caliper.
5. Compress the brake pads to remove the caliper. When removing the caliper, do not kink the brake line. Hang the brake line with a coat hanger or string. Do not let the caliper dangle on the brake line.
6. Remove the outer bearing.
7. Remove the grease seal with a screw driver and hammer. Pry it out and remove the inner seal. The grease seal is destroyed during removal, so remember to use a new seal after you have replaced the inner bearing.
8. Clean out all the grease.
9. Put a new inner bearing in and put a little more grease around the bearing.
10. Put a new grease seal in place and tap down evenly. You may have to hit it hard. Use a 2-by-4 to get even force.
11. Put the outer bearing in place.
12. Put the retaining nut on the hub, and tighten it until the wheel wont turn at all. Once the wheel does not turn, loosen the nut 1/3rd of a turn. Tighten the Allen bolt to secure the nut. Make sure the wheel turns freely, but does not have any play, meaning the wheel does not wobble.
13. Clean all grease out of the wheel hub.
14. On the hub, there is a place to fill with grease. Fill it with grease to the line, but be precise and do not overfill it.
15. Replace the hub and the wheel.
16. Torque the wheel nuts to 50 foot pounds.

How to Install Magnum Headlight Bulbs

1. Open the hood to access the Magnums engine compartment. Inspect the area behind the drivers side headlight case to find the black air filter box.
2. Remove the screw on the hose clamp on the rear side of the air filter box. This clamp connects the air filter hose to the air filter box. Pull the hose away from the box.
3. Push down on the tabs along the edge of the air filter box lid. This frees up the cover. Lift the cover and the air filter inside the box.
4. Remove the two bolts securing the air filter box to the Magnum. Lift the air filter box out and move it to the side. This gives you enough room to install the headlight bulbs on the drivers side.
5. Locate the headlight bulb you need to replace on the back of the headlight case. The bulb closest to the center of the grille is the low-beam bulb. The outboard bulb is the high-beam bulb.
6. Unplug the electrical harness from the back of the appropriate bulb socket. Twist the socket counterclockwise to release it from the case then pull it straight back. Dispose of the old bulb.
7. Insert the replacement bulb into the holder and turn it clockwise to lock it in place. Plug the electrical harness into the new bulb.
8. Position the bottom half of the air filter box back into place. Insert and tighten the two bolts.
9. Lay the air filter inside the box. Replace the cover and push up the tabs to lock the cover in place.
10. Attach the hose to the air filter box. Tighten the hose clamp screw with the screwdriver then close the hood.
